LIGHT THE NIGHT

You are invited to participate in our annual Light the Night outreach on Halloween evening. Here’s how it works…

What do I do?

    1. Buy the GOOD candy to distribute and attach your candy to a Light the Night invitation card (cards provided by New Life…see your Campus Pastor for cards)
    2. Make your house as bright as possible using all your porch lights as well as shop lights and string lights (we want your house to shine with the Light of Jesus)
    3. Create a festive atmosphere…be creative with this! Ideas include: front yard games; bounce house/slide; obstacle course; dance party with live DJ; sidewalk chalk my driveway challenge; dunk tank; carnival style game(s); etc. Consider having Christian music playing in the background. The hope is that kids and families will stay at your house for a few minutes of fun and memories.
    4. Give away something special…think about the parents too. Ideas include: BBQ hotdogs; hot cocoa; apple cider; etc. Have trash cans readily available for their trash.
    5. Sit outside waiting on your guests rather than having them come to your front door. You may want to set up a table in your driveway near the fun and food. This will give you an opportunity to greet kids and parents.
    6. Please stay away from scary themes as we want families to remember your home as safe and friendly. Not of fear and fright but of fun and light!
    7. Take pictures and share them on all of your social media (and post them at our Facebook Page too!)
